When it comes to doing laundry, we can all admit, its no ones favorite chore; but it needs to get done. Here are some tips & tricks about using a Laundromat!
Always make sure you have a way to transport your clothes
Transporting clothes can be a tough task. You could purchase a laundry bag from your local laundromat to help with that!
Always Check the Wash & Dryer before and after you put your belongings in and take them out
Taking a look inside the washer & dryer before and after loading in your items is always a good idea. Articles of clothing get left behind all the time, so be sure to check if someone else left theirs and return it to the counter. As well and making sure you don't leave your own items behind.
Remember not to use too much detergent
Most times a little detergent can go a long way! Using too much detergent can cause the machine to flood or it won't be able to rinse your clothes thoroughly making sure all the soap is out.
Always check your pockets
Checking your pockets is a must before doing laundry. You'd be surprised what you might find in there. Debris can hurt the machines and cause them to work improperly. There's also a chance of ruining your clothes, make sure you don't wash any pens or markers!
Never stuff a machine too full
Stuffing a Washer or Dryer too full won't allow the machine to properly wash and dry your clothes! This will cause you to have to spend more money to redo your wash or extend your dry time. So, sometimes spending a couple extra dollars for a second washer or dryer will be helpful in the long run.
